FRIENDS: The Ottawa Public Health folks have now recommended that Ottawans, to the extent possible, stay home. Though officials have as yet stopped short of mandating closure of bars and restaurants, it would be irresponsible to remain open, so we’ve decided to pause the Flora tap room/restaurant operation for two weeks, to mirror school closures that are in place. It is the right and responsible thing to do.
We will keep our retail store open, for those who crave a Flora brew while binging on Netflix or otherwise passing these trying times at home. We’ll look at options for home delivery if the hiatus continues. (Please note that to avoid anyone handling cash, we are temporarily accepting only debit or credit cards.)
Please take care of yourselves and each other, and continue to practise the same practical methods that we’ve all learned to help to limit the spread. There are beloved members of our community for whom this virus could be very harmful, and we do this to help keep them healthy.
